Goth in London
Monday, April 12th, 2010
Working out of the inner circle and into something more unknown, there are limits and risks, and these are determined by the amount of hours there are in a day. At the present time, it is still 24, and for some of these, there is daylight, and for the rest, there is time to enjoy the world of London. Becoming part of a scene is never anyone’s intention, and more true in Goth circles than anywhere else. The world is an oyster, and when it’s dark, everything is better, and nothing can be lost that wasn’t meant to be lost.
It takes a little attention to the light, that’s all, and here, it’s much easier when it’s winter, because there are many days when the light is not a threat. This is when the nightlife comes into its own, demonstrating that the sadness felt as a child can be turned into a new dance move, or at least be the seeds for a long brood somewhere in public. Starting an evening with a garlic shot will never go out of fashion, and for some, it’s the preference, and it means a night to remember. There are others, however, of the vampyr persuasion who would not go near with a three meter pole. It takes difference to create a life.
London works in the summer, too, and although the sunny days may become a hard notion to unpack under the light of the moon, one can leave the beautiful hotel to become part of another methodology of beauty. Elizium will take care of most of the notions of how to be seen here, and can help to make new changes to a wardrobe that is constantly shifting. It’s not all black anymore, but it’s still a safe bet. Even still, nature rewards the courageous, and this is London. No one knows you’re on vacation.

Different Lawyers for Different Cases
Monday, March 29th, 2010
Most people that have never had to hire a lawyer before assume that you can go into any Las Vegas Nevada law firm , hire a lawyer, and they will be able to help you with any legal advice you need. On the contrary, there are many different types of lawyers out there and they all practice in different areas of the law. As a result, someone who wants to file for divorce is not going to use the same lawyer as someone who is facing a DUI .
One of the most common lawyers, and the one that most people would use, is a family lawyer. A family lawyer handles things such as divorce, separation, child custody, etc. Anything that pertains to the family.
The lawyer that you hope you never need is a criminal lawyer. They handle anything pertaining to criminal law, although since that is such a broad area of study they will sometimes specialize in a particular area. This is also the area that defense attorneys and prosecutors practice.
If you are a California resident and feel that your rights have been violated, you would hire an orange county lawyer that practices civil law. Of course if you don’t live in California, you can hire a civil lawyer in your area. This most often includes civil suits and upholding their client’s rights.
Have you ever wondered who handles those large cases involving big Fortune 500 companies? That is the job of the corporate lawyer. They are knowledgeable in all areas of business law and are well trained in handling lawsuits and defending the company. Most often corporate lawyers are hired and work strictly for that one company.
These are just a few of the many different types of lawyers that are practicing today. Regardless of what area they specialize in, each one has its pros and cons. We should all be grateful that there are people out there who dedicate their lives to understanding the laws so that, if we ever need it, they can defend us. -
Franklin Square in Philadelphia
Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010
So, I was sitting in Steve’s Prince of Steaks in Philadelphia, yeah that’s what it was called but really they were great sandwiches, and was waiting for my mother and brother to get back from visiting whatever history store they had just wandered into. I mean yeah, Philadelphia is full of historic places and the buildings all look old and everything but I’d like to do more than think about old stuff, you know? I had wanted to stay at our Philadelphia hotel room and sleep in, but obviously that wasn’t going to happen. So, I’m sitting there eating my sandwich, and feeling a little bit cool that my mom actually left me there on my own, when I hear the door open and look up to see if they were back. And to my great relief my mother and brother were nowhere in sight but some beautiful boy was looking right at me.
I must have blushed and hurried and took a sip of soda and then looked back. By that time he was standing to order his sandwich. I tried to watch him while keeping my face in another direction, which was difficult but a skill I was beginning to master. While he was casually watching his sandwich getting made I noticed he was glancing over in my direction. So, my other skill was to secretly make sure that he couldn’t be looking at anything else near me. Suddenly I heard my name and was startled as I and cute boy looked at the door at the same time.
Of course it was my brother and mom who came right over and started talking about the cool history they had seen. Then they told me to hurry up because they wanted to go to Franklin Square and I started to feel sick. Just then cute boy walked over with his sandwich and said he overheard us mention Franklin Square. I immediately mentioned that I had always wanted to go there and then kicked my brother under the table as he started to give me a double take. Cute boy introduced himself as Adam and told us how to get there and all the attractions. He mentioned the miniature golf and the carousel and then offered to give us a tour. I accepted for the whole family, my brother was onto me by this point, and ended up having the greatest afternoon of my life while looking at a miniature golf course that was full of icons and decorations I couldn’t name.
